Amarinth delivers 18m-long pumps for brand spanking new Indian FPSO

Amarinth has accomplished a US$1.5 million order from Armada Madura for six API 610 VS4 vertical pumps for a model new FPSO being constructed for India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).

Two of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour level depressant pumps which are 18m in size and the other four are methanol carry pumps that are 10m long.
All of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors which have been designed and built along the length of the pumps to monitor the temperature of each bearing individually.
The 18m long pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches every pump to its tank throughout installation ensuring that as the pump is lowered into the tank it remains perfectly aligned, lowering vibration and wear during operation.
Once assembled, the pumps have been independently witness tested and authorized by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. The pumps were then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore the place the FPSO (floating manufacturing storage and offloading unit) is being constructed.
The pump delivery and set up needed to align with the FPSO construct schedule. Because of pressure gauge ออก หลัง of the pumps, they had to be put in into the vessel’s tanks via the deck earlier than one other deck above the pumps could be built. The first phase was accomplished efficiently over the Christmas interval with Amarinth’s Engineering Commissioning team supporting the shopper with the installation and commissioning.
The FPSO might be positioned within the KG-DWN 98/2 field, approximately 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. The vessel is designed to supply as much as 90 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It might be outfitted to deal with the monsoon conditions prevalent at the subject.
