เกจแรงดันลม has equipped two complete energy models (5 and 6) for the Changlongshan pumped storage plant in eastern China.

Earlier this month, unit 5 successfully handed a 15-day trial operation and was officially put into industrial operation. It is the world’s first reversible pumped storage unit with a rated speed of 600 r/min and a capacity of 350 MW. There are six items installed in complete at the 2.1 GW Changlongshan station situated in Zhejiang Province.
Voith says that the efficiency of unit 5 received outstanding suggestions from the owners and consultants in the business.
“The data showed that the unit meets our excellence criteria and thereby proves that the engineering, manufacturing, set up and commissioning of the world’s first 600 r/min with 350 MW unit was successful,” said Zhang Chengping, mechanical and electrical chief engineer at plant operator the China Three Gorges Group (CTG).
