As part of its efforts to advertise Sarawak culture, the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak is considering the concept of organising a “Tuak Festival.” The occasion, which may initially be held in Kuching, goals to showcase and promote tuak, a conventional rice wine of the Dayaks, and the culture of the state.
Deputy Minister Datuk Sebastian Ting expressed his enthusiasm for the pageant, suggesting it might run for over per week and ultimately include a tuak-making competitors in every zone of Sarawak, masking the southern, northern, and central areas. Ting acknowledged that starting such an occasion would be challenging however remained optimistic about its success and sustainability, given the variety of skilled tuak producers in Sarawak.
“The individuals who produce tuak are very experienced, and they need to be ready to organise a week-long festival,” said Ting. “ Expires will certainly contemplate beginning off a Tuak Festival.
