Following the disappearance of 21-year-old Chloe Mitchell from Ballymena in County Antrim, a second man has been arrested. The Police Service of Northern Ireland continues to seek for Mitchell, who has been categorised as a high-risk missing person. She was last seen by her household on the night of June 2 and was later captured on CCTV in the early hours of the subsequent day. Police have been granted a further 36 hours to question a 26-year-old man who was arrested in Lurgan on Friday. Monetize -year-old man was also arrested on Saturday in Ballymena and is assisting with inquiries in police custody.
Police have said that it is “completely out of character” for Mitchell to not keep in touch with her household. Mitchell was final seen wearing a green and black Northface style jacket, a white t-shirt, leggings, and Nike trainers.
Officers are appealing directly to Mitchell to contact police, household, or friends. According to and East Antrim District Commander, Superintendent Gillian Kearney, mentioned: “Police are becoming more and more involved about Chloe’s safety and we’ve launched a legal investigation into her disappearance. It is completely out of character for her to not keep in touch together with her household, who’re being supported by specialist officers throughout this worrying time.”
