Two of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour level depressant pumps which are 18m in length and the opposite 4 are methanol raise pumps which may be 10m lengthy.
All of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors which have been designed and constructed alongside the size of the pumps to monitor the temperature of every bearing individually.
The 18m long pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches each pump to its tank during installation making certain that as the pump is lowered into the tank it remains completely aligned, reducing vibration and put on during operation.
Once assembled, weksler ea14 were independently witness examined and certified by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. The pumps were then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore the place the FPSO (floating manufacturing storage and offloading unit) is being built.
The pump supply and set up had to align with the FPSO construct schedule. Because of the size of the pumps, they needed to be installed into the vessel’s tanks by way of the deck earlier than one other deck above the pumps might be constructed. The first phase was completed successfully over the Christmas period with Amarinth’s Engineering Commissioning staff supporting the shopper with the set up and commissioning.
The FPSO shall be positioned within the KG-DWN 98/2 area, approximately 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. The vessel is designed to supply up to ninety 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It will be geared up to deal with the monsoon conditions prevalent at the area.
